14 Jan Jackson & Cailey – Brandon University Wedding Photography

I’m on my way to Brandon, Manitoba on Dec. 31, 2016 to photograph the wedding of Jackson & Cailey. My drive is just over 3 hours, but 2.5 hours in, I hit an Alberta Clipper! A heavy snowfall and no wind make for nasty driving conditions. I like driving in snow. But when all I see is white, have no idea where the road is, AND have a wedding to get to, it’s not as fun!
Anyway, I got there safely and on time!
I learned something valuable this wedding. I can buy two pairs of boots at Mark Work Warehouse (leaving the tags on), have a Bride and Groom wear them all afternoon outside, and still return them for a full refund! The amount of snowfall that afternoon was really unexpected, so the boots was a good idea. 😉
What I really liked about this wedding, was how much time I had with Jackson & Cailey. Very often, the portrait part of weddings is quite tight for time, therefore on the verge of rushing through the shoot. We had about 4 hours in the afternoon just for shooting. This made it possible to shoot at multiple locations and take time to look for ideas. We could even relax with some much needed McDonald’s before the wedding. 🙂
You guys were so easy going and down for whatever. Thanks so much for having me with you on your wedding day!
