16 Nov Mario & Leanne – Winnipeg Art Gallery Wedding Photography
This is a Filipino, Winnipeg Art Gallery wedding. The wedding ceremony was at the Roman Catholic Parish of Saint Timothy, with wedding party photos at Munson Park, Mayfair Recreation Centre, and the Osborne Village.
I first met this funny, outgoing, down to earth, and playful couple at Little Sister Coffee Maker. Ever since, it’s felt like more of a friendship than a client. They give off a very welcoming, down-to-earth vibe.
Mario & Leanne taught me the value one image could make on Instagram. I asked how they found me and why they wanted to book me for their wedding photography, and it’s because of that image. Me holding a bride’s dress and helping her through the tall grass. So cool!
During the engagement session, I had lots of ideas, and they were so down for all of it. I’m always experimenting with new techniques and ways to get interesting images. This often takes time, and some waiting around, but they were up for anything, and the wedding was no different! Stress-free, care-free, lots of laughing, crying, and all-around good times.
Here’s one example of them working with my ideas. Mario & Leanne live on the 23rd floor of an apartment building, with a pretty cool view from the balcony. We had about 3 locations to hit for the portraits, but I felt very strongly that we needed to get a shot up from the balcony. It’s not every day you get an opportunity like that! They gave up one of their locations just so I could try this shot, and luckily I got something pretty cool. 🙂
I had the opportunity to work along side Prairie Film Co. for the first time at this wedding. These guys are super likeable, easy to work with, and down for any idea I had. Thanks so much for being amazing to work with Jordan and Lauren!
And finally, thanks again Mario & Leanne, you’re a blast!
